The Genetics Division is affiliated with the Department of Morphology and Genetics at the Paulista School of Medicine.
Currently, the Genetics Division includes six professors who, together with their students, conduct research across multiple areas of health-related genetics, including cytogenetics and cytogenomics, cancer genome and epigenome, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, patient health under clinical care, and genetic and molecular mechanisms.
The Genetics Division is also responsible for the Medical Genetics Center, which specializes in the care of patients and families with rare genetic conditions.
